“I began getting involved in many student groups and some pre-medical societies to better my academic and social life on campus. I am the co-publicist for Barnard Mujeres, which is a club that seeks to empower Latina women at Barnard through advocacy and community building! I get to manage the social media pages and send out newsletters to our club body, which has been very fun as I love art and design. I was also accepted onto the Chicane Caucus Personal Relations Board at Columbia.”

This scholarship gave me the opportunity to help with my college expenses.”
